Gamlins Law is proud to sponsor two of Wales’s rising stars at the Commonwealth Games Glasgow 2014. Twins, Angharad and Megan Phillips of Denbigh, are competing with the Welsh Women’s Table Tennis team when the Games begin on 23rd July and Gamlins Law is looking forward to supporting them throughout the tournament.
Angharad and Megan will be competing in the Commonwealth Games for the second time, having experienced the Delhi Games in 2010. Gamlins Law is cheering the girls on by donating sponsorship funds to help them during the Games.
Gamlins Law has five offices located throughout North East Wales. Both Angharad and Megan have spent summer placements at Gamlins Law offices in Denbigh, Abergele and Rhyl. They have gained essential work experience during their placements and have been of great assistance to the law firm.
Angharad and Megan were fortunate enough to carry the Queen’s Baton through the streets of their native Denbigh as it toured the Commonwealth countries and territories across the world. The sisters have been delighted to receive an enormous amount of support from their local community. Angharad said, “Carrying the Queen’s Baton was such an honour and it was amazing to see so many people supporting us in our local town. We were thrilled when we learnt Gamlins Law would sponsor us in the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. It is important to us that so many people back home in Wales are supporting our endeavours.”
Angharad and Megan will begin their tournament at the Commonwealth Games Glasgow on 24th July 2014.
