Sally Richards, a solicitor in Gamlins Law’s Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence team, recently concluded a fatal road traffic accident claim on behalf of a family who sought assistance following the death of their husband/father (the Deceased).
The Deceased was a Sergeant in the Army. He was driving at night along a dual carriageway when his vehicle collided with a horse in the road. He suffered extensive injuries and tragically died eight days later from his injuries.
He left a widow and three young children under the age of 10.
A number of reports had been made to the police of there being horses in the road just prior to the accident. The owner of the horse denied liability throughout.
The claim settled for substantial damages and was approved by the Court.
Gamlins Law instructed barrister Chris Barnes from Exchange Chambers to act on the case.
The Gamlins Law team acts across a full breadth of PI and clinical negligence cases ranging from product, occupier and employer liability claims and RTAs through to the more serious and complex cases.
Sally, and her colleagues Simon Roberts and Elen Wynne Roberts, have a background of working with clients across the UK, including on some of the most complex and high-profile cases.
