An incredible team of seventeen associates from Gamlins Law took to the waters of Llyn Padarn, Llanberis, to race in this year’s epic Dragon Boat Festival in aid of St David’s Hospice, Llandudno.
The annual event was held on Sunday 6th July at Llyn Padarn, Llanberis, in the heart of Snowdonia. The fantastic day saw teams race 40 foot long Hong Kong Dragon Boats across the lake in an attempt to be crowned champions.
Spectators who watched the great race also enjoyed children’s entertainment, music, rides and refreshments. Motivational drums beat out across the water to spur on the teams and all participating enjoyed the spectacular occasion. The Gamlins Law team did not make it to the final four but had a lot of fun trying!
St David’s Hospice provides palliative care for adult patients from across North West Wales. Patients and their families and carers are physically, emotionally and spiritually supported at its inpatient and day care hospice in Llandudno. Fundraising events such as the Dragon Boat Festival help the hospice to provide ongoing care free of charge to people of Conwy, Gwynedd and Anglesey.
